Introduction
Rhoon, oasis of rest a stone’s throw from dynamic Rotterdam. The place where horses were kept in past centuries is now a restaurant where about seventy guests can dine. Notable features of Kasteel van Rhoon are the delicious dishes offered by patron, cuisinier and lord of the castle Ad Janssen. The restaurant is particularly well-suited for business lunches.
During the evening, when soft floodlight sweeps over the outside of the castle and candle light illuminates it from within, the historic atmosphere is irresistibly shown to its best advantage. During the summer, guests can dine in the lovely castle gardens.
Within the castle itself weddings are held and cultural events take place, but the castle is also perfect for parties, receptions and meetings. It’s not unusual that Kasteel van Rhoon serves as the setting for successful parties with around four hundred guests.
